Mr. Pixley is a founding partner of Stroudwater NHG. His primary area of
responsibility is in MSO development and assessment, hospital-affiliated
physician practices, physician group mergers, physician compensation, and
physician network development.
Larry has worked in various areas of the health care field since 1968,
including mental health, chemical dependency, adolescent treatment, residency
program administration, contract management, and physician practice management.
He has been consulting since 1983.
Representative Accomplishments
Larry's recent work has included:
- The transition of a 44 provider MSO practice into a fully integrated group
practice,
- Primary care network development,
- Management of a large MSO,
- Hospital-based physician practice planning,
- Practice assessments and valuations,
- Medical staff development planning,
- Ambulatory facility strategy and development, and
- Conflict resolution among physicians and between physicians and
hospitals.
Larry has been a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice
Executives since 1984, serves as both faculty and advisory committee member of
the New England Healthcare Assembly Physician Practice Management Certificate
Program, is a charter member of the AAFP Network of Consultants, and has
lectured and published on a variety of subjects in the area of physician
practice management.
Education
Larry completed his undergraduate degree from the State University of New
York at Albany and his Master of Arts degree from Simmons College. He holds a
second Master's Degree in Business Administration (with distinction) in
Healthcare Finance from the University of South Carolina.
